This California kitchen makeover is a definite departure from the all-white kitchen trend! The homeowners wanted a modern upgrade for functional reasons– the previous flooring, countertops, faucet, etc, were old and ugly– but they wanted to keep their quirky, retro vibe alive! We modernized it with new porcelain tile floor, new quartz counters, new backsplash tile, and new fixtures and lighting. We kept the retro feel by using bright, fun colors and mixing patterns, and then brought in a retro chairs and table set, made sure the new lighting had some retro styling, and had a custom retro-inspired pattern made for the window treatments.
